Responsibilities

Related Companies is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Resident Manager to join our team at SkyView Condominium in Flushing, Queens! As a Resident Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of luxury living for our residents. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring a seamless living experience for residents.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance, repair, and cleaning services to uphold the property's pristine condition and appearance.
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes to ensure quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Enforce community policies and regulations, fostering a safe, secure, and harmonious living environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with property management and leasing teams to support leasing efforts and resident retention initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records, including maintenance logs, incident reports, and resident communications.

Staff Supervision:

Responsible for the direction and supervision of the maintenance employees.

Recommends hiring, terminating, discipline, suspension, promotion and/or rewards for staffing accordance with Equal Employment Opportunity requirements; Related Management Company's EEO policies and procedures; with federal, state and local Human Rights/Civil Rights Statutes

Responsible for the implementation of and adherence to Fair Housing practices per Related Management Company, L.P.'s Fair Housing Policy and as communicated periodically through Fair Housing training with the Fair Housing officer or designee.

Building Operations:

Responsible for all maintenance and repairs at the development. Assures that a responsible staff member is available to respond to emergency calls at all times.

Maintenance of Common Areas:

Common areas, such as laundry rooms, hallways, offices, shops, storage areas, refuse areas, and grounds must be clean at all times. Schedules routine janitorial tasks to ensure that the above is consistently maintained.

Purchase Order System:

Follows purchase order instructions established by the district/regional office.

External Maintenance Services:

Solicits, reviews and recommends third-party contracts when so directed by the District Manager or designee.

Guest Authorization Protocol:

Ensures that concierge staff complies with the designated, authorized steps to register guest/key authorizations on the Yardi system

Compensation:

$70,000 - $100,000 + Discretionary Bonus

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recent hands-on experience in the property management industry with a focus on luxury condo residential buildings
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Facilities/Operations experience with strong working knowledge of building systems
  • Fluent in English and Chinese/Mandarin (required)
  • Proficiently skilled in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and basic construction
  • Experience managing a Tenant Amenity Space
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry software systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management; internally and externally
  • Strong leadership, organizational and administrative skills.
  • Team oriented and customer focused
  • Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • In-house knowledge of principles, practices and procedures a plus
