Acara Solutions is looking for an experience Mold Maker for our client in Reading, MA.

Hours: 1st shift Mon-Fri 7-330 or 8-430
Pay: $33-$40/hour

Description: Skilled mold maker to join our team in the creation of precision molds. The mold maker will be responsible for making repairs or adjustments to existing molds, using precision tools and blueprints to create new injection molds used for various plastics.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Fabricate new molds according to drawings & specifications from the design team.

  1. Maintain, perform preventative maintenance on and repair existing tooling and molds.

  1. Fabricate fixtures and secondary tooling to verify quality of products.

  1. Help analyze and troubleshoot mold malfunctions.
Job Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Completion of an accredited mold making apprenticeship program is preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in mold making or mold maintenance
  • Minimum 5 years machinist experience working with conventional milling, lathes, surface grinders and conventional EDM is required
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
  • CNC machining experience is a plus
