Job Objective:

Primary task of the material handler is to receive incoming greige, tag it with appropriate labels, put the material in the storage racks using industrial lift equipment such as fork trucks and stackers. It is also the responsibility of the material handler to record the transactions on the warehouse management system and to pick and stage material for further processing.

2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm

Essential Job Functions:

  • Receive, verify, label, and put away material
  • Pick and stage material
  • Enter production WIP moves into the computer and electrically or manually recording production data as required.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts and location audits

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum Required:
  • High school education or GED
  • Previous manufacturing experience. Hazardous Communications, Lockout / Tagout and Forklift certification or certification obtained within 30 days.
  • Ability to read and interpret production travelers, verify material to be processed, and electronically enter data through Warehouse data base.
  • Ability to self pace learning including book, web-base and classroom participation.

Desired:

  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Exposure to computers and word and excel software.
