Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Londonderry, NH. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
  • Within parameters, determines routing and arrangements for shipments, considering such factors as the nature of items being shipped, method of handling, size, urgency, and cost.
  • Consults rate schedule for specific rates depending on the method of shipment or distance shipped.
  • Assesses the most economical and efficient common or contract carrier, to transport shipments.
  • Calculates and records storage, redelivery, and other applicable charges.
  • May reroute urgent shipments of an urgent nature or arrange for special delivery at the destination.
  • Prepares and maintains records of products shipped and tracks shipments.
  • Receives incoming materials, and unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
  • Maintains records of received goods, and processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
  • Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • Developing support for individual contributors.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations.
  • Less detailed instructions are provided and moderate peer review is required.
  • Communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach an agreement.
  • Work is less structured within identified boundaries and procedures.
  • Follows established processes to complete tasks.
  • Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution.
  • Works to achieve operational targets within the job area which has some impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is somewhat limited in scope, typically on smaller, less structured task-related activities.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory on manufacturing lines

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree
  • Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks,.
