Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Associate Project Manager is responsible for actively leading stakeholders with data gathering, analysis, and reporting activities. This position is responsible for developing technical solutions that optimizes data extraction, visualization, tracking, and reporting. The ideal candidate will complete tasks under no supervision, provide executive updates and lead process improvements as needed. The successful candidate should have the ability to interface and communicate clearly and effectively with internal leadership and clients.

This position is based in TRC's San Juan, Puerto Rico office.


Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - TASKS

  • Lead Program Brief Updates processes and complete executive updates as requested by the client.
  • Lead the advancement of digitalization and automation initiatives for progress reporting activities across the capital projects portfolio to enhance reporting efficiency and heightened data accuracy.
  • Lead the development alongside with the client's investment strategy team to develop detailed presentations articulating the long-term investment plans for a portfolio of capital programs in the energy sector.
  • Lead and facilitate collaborative efforts across departments to streamline project processes, ensuring optimal execution and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Mangers, Managers and Directors to enhance the quality and relevance of monthly reports for Capital Programs.
  • Oversee the integration of Power BI Dashboards, enhancing data visualization and analytics capabilities across a portfolio of projects.
  • Conduct dynamic product presentations for clients during business development meetings, proficiently communicating features, benefits, and value propositions to spark client interest and heighten understanding.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, and three (3) years related experience or a degree in a related field of study and five plus (5+) years of experience.
  • Experience through internships or co-ops is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining customer, client, and partner relationships with a high level of satisfaction is plus.
  • Advanced Excel, MS Project, Power BI, and Software reporting experience.
  • Demonstrated technical ability combined with the ability to work in a collaborative environment with end-users, clients, and other members.
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Ability to manage time independently and to work effectively on a project team.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) required.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to perform job duties without direct supervision.
  • Ability to identify and manage risk on projects.
