Develop and implement Work Instructions and SOPs with quality designed for all manufacturing processes.
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with travelers and quality standards.
Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Work closely with production team to optimize manufacturing processes.
Assist production in the resolution of manufacturing problems to maintain production schedules.
Train production team on quality control procedures and best practices.
Manage well established AS9100 quality system.
Support and supervision of inspection personnel including documentation retention, First Article Inspection, issuing Certificates of Compliance.
Resolution and disposition of incoming and internal non-conforming material.
Participates in and sustains 5S Standards.
Drives Continuous Improvement projects/tasks.
Demonstrate ability to understand supplier capability and specialties in the manufacture of components and tooling to required specifications.
Provide technical assistance to component and tooling suppliers.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/quality engineering role preferably in a machine shop environment.
Must be proficient in English reading and writing.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
