We are looking for an experienced, motivated individual to join our Infrastructure Team as a Senior System Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a sense of ownership and a strong desire to be part of a high-performing team. YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Plan, design, and implement enterprise class system infrastructure services for mission critical workloads in a complex enterprise environment. Includes developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies to support stable and scalable infrastructure services.
  • Troubleshooting - assist cross functional teams and internal customers to diagnose, solve and provide root cause analysis.
  • Proactive monitoring and capacity planning of all server, storage, and backup environments. Includes proactively evaluating and analyzing performance, issues, and metrics to provide recommendations for service improvements across entire technology stack.
  • Research new technologies and trends in virtualization, automation, storage, backup, and data center area to identify methods to make continuous improvements.
  • Create operational and engineering documentation for current and future state of the compute, virtualization, storage, and backup environment.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to less experienced staff, act as the level 3 support for escalations.
  • Evaluate technologies, design standardized solutions, and develop proposals to improve existing processes and infrastructure.
  • Be available, to rapidly troubleshoot any problems resulting in service delivery outages. Includes responding to critical monitoring alarms and alerts during and outside normal business hours as required.
  • Leverage automation techniques/technologies - Develop and maintain scripts and utilities using shell scripts, and Windows PowerShell.
  • Ensure systems are compliant with company cyber security standards. Participate in vulnerability remediation efforts as required.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation to include administration SOPs, network, configuration diagrams and asset management.
  • May be involved in routine upgrades and application support, as well as root cause and post-mortem analyses around security incidents or service interruptions.
  • Adhere to operational and security policies, procedures, and industry best practices.

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of Advanced Systems Engineering experience supporting Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 in a VMWare environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with Active Directory, migrating and upgrading DCs, assessing, tuning and managing GPOs for large enterprise environments.
  • 5+ years of experience with VMWare administration.
  • Support of Datacenter Fiber channel SAN or iSCSI Infrastructure (NetApp experience is a big plus.)
  • Strong knowledge of systems automation technologies such as Windows Shell Scripting (Batch), VBScript, PowerShell.
  • Strong working knowledge of Enterprise Backup & Recovery infrastructure. Experience with Rubrik is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with capacity planning, availability, and system management tools.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
  • The ability to lead Systems infrastructure projects from beginning to end with little to no supervision.
  • Knowledge of basic networking technologies such as DHCP, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls, Switching, Routing, and Wireless networks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a D.O.D. security clearance.

Salary Range: $95000 - $148000 / year
