Job Description
The Sr. Manager reports to and serves as a strategic partner to the Executive Director, Head of Global Field Medical Strategy & Launch Execution ("Executive Director"). The supported function includes Sarepta's HCP-focused field medical teams (US and global) and medical launch execution.

The position works closely with the Executive Director to establish the function's strategic direction, project manage the successful execution of the function's strategy, lead the execution of assigned projects and high-priority deliverables, and support the overall business needs of the Executive Director and function. This role is both strategic and tactical, requiring significant autonomy in the development of sound recommendations and deliverables for leadership alignment and independent execution of initiatives.

This position requires significant cross-functional collaboration, and close alignment to Global Medical Affairs' strategy.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner closely with the Executive Director to conduct long-term strategic and annual tactical/budget planning across the function, prioritizing initiatives in alignment with the overarching GMA strategy and medical priorities.
  • Develop and manage a detailed project plan to support the mobilization and timely execution of the function's long-term and annual strategic/tactical plans.
  • Autonomously lead aspects of the project plan's implementation and/or oversee, delegate, and coordinate the activities of others to ensure successful execution of the project plan.
  • Communicate the status of the project plan to the Executive Director and other impacted stakeholders according to an appropriate schedule. Proactively address risks in timely and quality execution, escalating to leadership as necessary.
  • Partner closely with the Executive Director and direct reports to prioritize all emergent initiatives, special projects and provide business acumen guidance to support their successful execution of key initiatives.
  • Lead the development and execution of high-priority deliverables including, but not limited to, Healthcare Provider (HCP)/Key Opinion Leader (KOL) management initiatives, MSL value & impact story, functional business reviews, Field Medical insights reporting, and best practice launch infrastructure.
  • Provide ongoing leadership planning and business support including, but not limited to, meeting planning and coordination, communications planning, presentation or other communication development, training and professional development planning, talent management, financial management, and documentation of departmental processes.
  • Support in developing a plan to optimize the organization's structure, effectiveness, and alignment with headquarters.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to rollout broad GMA initiatives within the Global Field Medical Strategy & Launch Execution function.
  • Seek to continuously improve the function and GMA, identifying, analyzing, and recommending performance improvement initiatives.
  • Build an understanding of Sarepta's core business and Global Medical Affairs' role in advancing business priorities.
  • Additional responsibilities may be requested to support the Global Medical Affairs organization.

Desired Education and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; general business, health sciences, or related field of study preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare management consulting and/or progressive strategy & operations role in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries. 5+ years of experience with Master's in related field.
  • Strategic mindset with strategic planning experience.
  • Self-starter and quick study who is comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, taking initiative proactively to address opportunities.
  • Analytical skillset with the ability to solve complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful, large-scale project execution
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to tell a concise story leveraging exceptional presentation development skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • High standards of excellence and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office systems.

This position is remote. However, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta's facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.

The targeted salary range for this position is $132,000 - $165,000 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta's compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
