Join us as a Scientist I, where you'll put your love of science to work and support the development of pharmaceuticals through the planning and execution of physicochemical, biochemical, and formulation studies of pharmaceuticals comprising both large and small molecules.

What you'll do

The specific duties will include:

  • Evaluate physicochemical properties of small molecules relevant to drug development and subsequently communicate the interpretation and implication of results to clients
  • Develop analytical methods to characterize complex biological and chemical mixtures
  • Execute and oversee specialized analytical testing and generation of technical documents
  • As a member of the team, help design experiments to develop pre-clinical and clinical formulations of drug candidates to support drug discovery and development
  • Perform laboratory experiments related to the above
  • Write and review interim and final reports
  • Participate in initial client discussion and prepare client research proposals and manage relevant pharmaceutical development projects
  • Develop compelling approaches and solutions to address client needs
  • Present specialized analytical testing internally and with clients, including generation of technical documents and instructions
  • Be aware of current scientific literature, particularly in the area of drug substance characterization, and actively apply new concepts as appropriate

What you'll bring

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Process Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • 2 years of academic or employment research experience in a field of Chemistry. Experience may have been gained as part of, or after, the Ph.D. program.
