Overview

Seeking a motivated individual with both survey and scheduling task experience. This individual would be responsible for compiling and computing boundaries from deeds and plats, preparing survey basemaps from field points, computing survey stakeouts for underground distribution power line routes, easements and device locations (transformers, switch gears, pedestals).


Responsibilities

  • Communicate and facilitate crew schedules to field crew surveys using survey plats to compile basemaps.
    • Responsible for reviewing deeds and existing survey plats provided from the land research agent. Reviewing to ensure all properties are project related and included.
    • Self-check survey task package before providing to surveyor to ensure package includes all appropriate documents required for Surveyor to do field check.
    • Complete calculations of the easement and device locations and place in the basemap file using the QC review process checklist.
  • Facilitate weekly status updates meetings for internal use.
    • Manage and update survey database daily.
  • Coordinate with project designers and right of way agents on predesigned survey/construction tasks.
  • Use of Google Earth to confirm field investigation information.
  • Facilitate gathering of equipment and supplies for surveyors from management.
  • Coordination with the survey crew chiefs to facilitate above tasks.


Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are those an applicant must possess to be considered a candidate for the position.

  • Minimum of 5 years of surveying experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of Carlson/AutoCAD experience
  • Experience coordinating crew scheduling.
  • Availability to travel to the field to coordinate with survey crew members to correct any field related issues.
  • Proficiency with standard computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth, GIS)
