Summary of Position | Under the direct supervision of Baker II, performs skilled duties in the production of baked and pastry items. Maintains proper sanitation levels as required, seeks guidance form Baker II on product preparation and finishing procedures. Assemble, weigh and measure ingredients for breads, cakes, pastries and other baked goods using standardized formulas and procedures. Place prepared ingredients in to mixing unit according to specifications and instructions. Prepare cooking vessel and pans to receive dough and ingredient batter as directed in standardized recipe. Monitor cooking process of bakery items while inside specified equipment to ensure proper doneness and appearance of finished item. Rotate pans to ensure proper balanced heat distribution. |
