Overview

TRC is seeking an experienced full-time Associate Director to support and grow our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice.

TRC's TAS practice is a vibrant, dynamic, and fast-paced work environment that provides access to a broad spectrum of professional experiences in a company that thrives on teamwork. The practice has been growing quickly in recent years and is looking for new leader who can materially contribute to winning and delivering new business for this successful business unit.

This new role will be responsible for obtaining, managing and executing transactions in various sectors for Private Equity and corporate clients. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth and have at least 15-20 years of environmental, health & safety (EHS) due diligence experience.

This position has hybrid flexibility and will report to the nearest TRC office.


Responsibilities

  • This new hire will be a seller/doer, who will be expected to bring in new clients/projects to TRC, with a focus on transactional and post-acquisition engagements. Sales expectations (bookings) are $500K-$1M Gross Revenue annually, and utilization of 50% is expected.
  • Manage complex due diligence projects involving multi-site portfolios and multi-person subject matter expert project teams as necessary per engagement requirements.
  • Manage due diligence assessments consistent with ASTM Phase I standards and other global protocols, including broad-based limited compliance assessments at industrial and commercial facilities.
  • Help clients with internal processes for managing transaction risks. Work with clients to find solutions to transaction-driven environmental issues, including EHS compliance, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) impacts and opportunities, remediation, portfolio issues, Brownfields, and liability cost estimating.
  • Prepare concise TAS due diligence reports, liability estimations etc., and other deliverables that assess potential environmental liability risks, compliance and operational status.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with TRC personnel, offices and different practices throughout the US and London.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of fifteen to twenty years of transactional experience, leading and managing complex environmental due diligence projects for multinational private equity, corporations, financial institutions, and their legal counsel.
  • Experience with managing and executing transactions in various sectors with Private Equity and corporate clients is required.
  • Strong ESG Due Diligence experience is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable of issues within TRC's key client sectors, particularly Industrials, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Petro-Chemical, and Power Generation is a plus.
  • Well versed in environmental risk, environmental compliance, health & safety compliance, remediation liabilities, and ESG risks as they relate to transactional agreements.
  • Possess fundamental working knowledge of transactional due diligence, site investigation and characterization concepts of projects.
  • Experience estimating the costs of environmental compliance and remediation liabilities.
  • Excellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and "people" skills and the ability to work as necessary (i.e., 24/7) and produce diligence deliverables in compressed timelines, at "the speed of the deal" as may be occasionally required.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented, with a positive, "can do" attitude.

In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $140,000-$180,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range

USD $140,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
