Overview

We are currently seeking Sr. Designers with Oil & Gas Facility Mechanical design experience. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in preparing drawings and documentations in the oil and gas industry and must be proficient in AutoCAD and Cadworks. Additionally, experience with an engineering consulting firm is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and in a team.

This position is 100% REMOTE that can work anywhere in the United States in the EASTERN OR CENTRAL TIME ZONES.


Responsibilities

  • Create detailed design drawings for new and existing oil and gas facilities using AutoCAD and Cadworks software.
  • Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and 3D models of facility piping systems.
  • Work closely with Engineers and Project Managers to ensure designs meet project specifications and requirements.
  • Review and interpret technical data and project specifications to ensure designs meet all requirements.
  • Mentor and train junior designers in design techniques, standards, and procedures
  • Perform field inspections and provide support during construction and commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with other technical personnel to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.

Qualifications

  • A two-year associate degree
  • At least 10 years of experience as Cadworks designer in the oil and gas industry
  • Expertise in using Cadworks for 3D modeling of facility piping.
  • Expertise in relevant codes, standards, and regulations for the Oil and Gas industry
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality designs on-time and within budget.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $80k - $100k. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
