The R.E. Michel Company was founded in Baltimore, Maryland in 1935 as a supplier to the home heating oil burner industry. Still family owned and operated, we have grown to be one of our nation's leading wholesale distributors of HVACR and LP equipment, parts and supplies.

We have more than 300 locations coast to coast. Our conveniently located branches carry an extensive inventory that meets the needs of its own market and its own customers. When a customer wants us to carry a certain product in our local branch inventory they just ask us, and we'll get it for them because our goal is to take the guesswork out of the supply business so that our customers find what they when they need it. Local inventory is backed by a $60 million network of branch inventories and our 900,000 sq. ft. Distribution Center inventory in Maryland. Linked by our state-of-the-art computer system, we can locate that special need and have it for a customer in no time.

It's not a problem for us to deliver an order to a customer. We can deliver to the customer’s business or, in case of heating and cooling system installations, directly to the job site.

Many of our branches have training facilities on site. Our full-time training staff provides the educational programs locally that customers need to be successful in their marketplace. In concert with the best of our manufacturers' instructors, we offer a wide range of product and technical training.
